Hopscotch (Jorrín-Abellán, 2016) is a theoretical model and a webtool to help novice researchers thoroughly design research studies. It was originally developed in 2014 as a tool to help graduate students develop qualitative research designs.

However, in 2018 after conducting a thorough formal evaluation of both the model and the webtool, we decided to also incorporate quantitative and mixed/methods research designs.

The following paper describes the process followed in the building of the Hopscotch Model.

Hopscotch Building: A Model for the Generation of Qualitative Research Designs
